Full Biography
Dr. Enoch Omonge is a highly respected physician and academic with specialized training in Advanced HIV care. He currently serves as Senior Lecturer in the Department of Clinical Medicine and Therapeutics, specifically within the Thematic Unit of Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Nairobi.
His scholarly interests center on Infectious Disease Pharmacotherapy, an area in which he actively contributes through teaching, research, and clinical practice. In addition to his academic responsibilities, Dr. Omonge is deeply involved in mentoring and training the next generation of healthcare professionals. He guides both undergraduate and graduate students in key disciplines including pharmacotherapeutics, Internal Medicine, and Infectious Diseases.
Beyond the university, Dr. Omonge plays a vital role in strengthening clinical services in Kenya. He provides technical support in HIV care and Antimicrobial Stewardship to multiple hospitals, helping to improve patient outcomes and promote responsible use of antimicrobials. He is also actively engaged in professional leadership, currently serving as Vice-Chair of the HIV Clinician Society Kenya.
Dr. Omonge’s combined expertise in clinical practice, academia, and professional leadership makes him a key figure in advancing HIV management and infectious disease care in Kenya and the region.
